     I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet because I think the music here can just speak for itself. Ask For Answers are a "virtual skramzgaze" band that exists between two different points on the map. Amado lives in Texas and Filip lives in Serbia. Together, they create songs that borrow equally from screamo, noise-rock and shoegaze and they do it damn well. These songs are terse, sharp bursts of lo-fi violence that will have you pinned to the floor and begging for air in no time. Imagine Jeromes Dream, Deafheaven, Idiot Pilot and Durga spending the weekend together in some dirty motel room off I-80 and you will have a pretty good idea what this sounds like. 

The Importance Of Safety.

Or, is it hope and heartache?
Are we supposed to feel so many headaches?
Another lost language, sullied by time.
I don't know if I am Hercules or Heracles...?
At least I can still breathe amongst these savages.
Amongst these...

My mournings are uneventful.
Until I make her dinner.
To see this look on her face, it's worth everything.
Why else would I wake up?
If it didn't consist of building her evening.

She owes me nothing.
She sows me something.
Milk & water & grain & lemon juice.
I owe her everything.

Punk Rock spirituals!!! This band nailed it with their own description!! Cutters are a New York four piece specializing in fuzzed-out, Lo-fi jangle Punk with so much heart and positive gusto, you can't help but get hooked. I am trying to figure out just exactly who these folks remind me of... I hear little bits from the likes of Teenage Cool Kids, Built To Spill, Titus Andronicus, Cloud Nothings and Kind of Like Spitting. Hell, I think these songs would even appeal to fans of Tigers Jaw. No matter where your tastes lie, I truly believe there is something here for everyone. If you like to smile while shaking your ass at a sweaty basement rock show, Cutters might just be for you!!

We Are In The Country - A Groan From Our Graves

Here are three "sketches" by this young band from Laval, France. Unfinished practice room jams that will eventually end up on their first EP. I think this is a wonderful start. Herky-Jerky guitars coupled with pained group vocals and wandering basslines give these songs a soulful Post-Something feel. Once these songs are finished, I know this band will be an unstoppable killing machine. Think She Died Real Pretty, Helen Of Troy, Mach Tiver... Think Hand Held Heart Records... Think for yourself, I don't need to tell you which bands to listen to. I like what I like, you should too. Though, if you liked what I like, I would probably like you more.  This band is Great and will only attain a higher level of greatness as time goes on.
