The Ladderback - "Honest, I Swear It's The Turnstyles..." LP

Mediafire Link

Relatively unknown in their time, the Ladderback, from North Carolina, were, and in my humble opinion still are one of the greatest of the mathy Post-Hardcore bands from the late 90's.  Over the course of Three full length albums, tons of stateside shows and a Japanese tour, these mystery men created and perfected some of the most mind bending, stop on a dime chaos the world had ever known.  Equal parts jittery, angular indie rock and raging, chaotic Screamo, the songs on this first album were just a welcome precursor of the madness to come.  Think A Fine Boat, That Coffin! fucking Forstella Ford in the back of Yaphet Kotto's Econoline van while the Vidablue watches and masturbates...  Yeah, this is a lazy review.  I am sure most of you are unaware of how damned great this band was.  If you have ever found yourself shaking and twitching to the sounds of the Kidcrash, Tera Melos, Shotmaker or even HORSE the Band, I don't see why you wouldn't like this.  Maybe you won't, I don't really care... More for me.  Oh, if anyone is interested, their second drummer went on to international fame and misfortune playing in the Valient Thorr.
