Cedar Of Lebanon were a very short lived Punk band from Houston, Texas. They played a style influenced by the darker aspects of Post-Punk and the early Emo scene. Think Don Martin 3, Admiral, Midvale... Hell, I can even detect some Husker Du influence in these songs. Spoken word interludes build up until they explode in a cacophony of screamed catharsis. I don't really think this band is that well known, which is a shame considering they are as good as anything that was coming out in the late 80's, early 90's. They didn't release much in their time. Just this 7", a split with another Texas band named Sore Loser and one song on a Compilation called 'There Is A Light' with a bunch of other AWESOME bands like Braid, Anomie, Managra and Paul Newman.
